The main function of the Awards Committee is to identify and recognize individuals who exemplify the Code of Ethics of the FAMP. They also track and report chapter activities to the state association for chapter recognition.
Duties
- Make awards recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- Work with Communications / Technology Committee to:
- Publish criteria for awards and recognition, and the procedures for applying and/or nominating individuals by the timelines determined by the committee.
- Announce awards recipients.
- Promote the awards via email marketing and social media.
- Recommend any new awards that may be considered to the Board of Directors.
- Make recommendations to the Board of Directors for appointment of Committee members as needed.
- Prepare and submit committee reports and recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- Develop and propose a budget by date requested by the Treasurer to accomplish goals and objectives.

The purpose of the Bylaws Committee is to review, on an ongoing basis, the Bylaws of the FAMP Broward-Gold Coast Chapter and draft changes at the request of the Board of Directors or mandated by the Florida Association of Mortgage Professionals (State FAMP).
Duties
- To maintain the Bylaws in such condition as to best serve the goals and objectives of the FAMP Broward-Gold Coast Chapter
- To maintain the Bylaws so that requirements are clearly stated.
- To maintain the Bylaws to ensure that they remain consistent with the policies of the Florida Association of Mortgage Professionals.
- To maintain the Bylaws in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws.

The Communications / Technology Committee is responsible for developing, updating, and monitoring the Chapter’s communications policies, social networking accounts, and electronic discussion groups, as well as recommending new ways for the Chapter to communicate with its members and other interested parties through alternative media. They also plan and coordinate the Chapter’s technology needs.
Duties
- To lead discussions on Chapter’s social media pages and post relevant industry news and articles our members.
- To evaluate the media options for communicating the FAMP’s mission for its members.
- Identify process and contacts to communicate with other Committees to ensure maximum mutual benefit and effectiveness.
- Review and approve the Chapter’s technology planning and strategy.
- Monitor and evaluate existing and future trends in technology that may affect the Corporation’s strategic plans, including monitoring of overall industry trends.

The primary purpose of the Federal Government Affairs Committee is to monitor federal regulatory and legislative issues – both on the state and federal level– that affect the mortgage and related industries and to advising the Board of Directors of in matter in the interests of our members. They also take an active role in setting and meeting Political Action Committee contribution goals.

- To alert, educate, and inform our members about state and federal governmental and regulatory issues that affect the mortgage and related industries.
- To formulate and recommend policy positions and government affairs initiatives to the
Chapter and State Board.
- Promote the PAC and positively represent its work to our members.
